Cafe Gala at the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida is named for the artist's wife and muse, Gala. He said of her, “I would polish Gala to make her shine, make her the happiest possible, caring for her more than myself, because without her, it would all end.”
The cafe offers light fare and tapas throughout the day (no museum ticket required), honoring the rich tradition of Spanish food and history. Chef Chuck Bandel (check out his Instagram feed for his exemplary photography along with his culinary creations) and Manager Jennifer Fletcher provide the ideal gastronomic accompaniment to Dali's work, in a setting that is a work of art in it's own right.
